Pledgecom Community Code of Conduct
Purpose
At Pledgecom, our mission is to foster an inclusive environment that welcomes contributors from all backgrounds. We are dedicated to creating a friendly, safe, and welcoming space for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or religion (or lack thereof).
This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for all participants in the Pledgecom community and the consequences of unacceptable behavior. We invite all community members to help us create a positive and safe experience for everyone.
Promoting Open Culture and Good Citizenship
One of the goals of this Code of Conduct is to promote an open culture and good citizenship. We encourage participants to be mindful of how their actions affect the community and to work towards building strong, positive relationships.
Expected Behavior
Community members are expected to:
- Engage authentically and actively, contributing to the community's health and longevity.
- Show consideration and respect in their speech and actions.
- Seek collaboration and resolve conflicts amicably.
- Avoid demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are prohibited in our community:
- Violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed at another person.
- Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language.
- Posting or displaying sexually explicit or violent material.
- Posting or threatening to post other people’s personal information ("doxing").
- Personal insults, especially those related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following (online or offline).
- Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behaviors.
- Sustained disruption of community events.
Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated from any community member.
Anyone asked to stop such behavior is expected to comply immediately.
If a community member engages in unacceptable behavior, Pledgecom may take any action it deems appropriate. This may include, but is not limited to, temporary bans or permanent suspensions of accounts, removal of a user, member, or moderator, revocation of privileges, adding restrictions to accounts, or removal of content.
